Dec. Ses. 1825.
                                     RESOLUTIONS.

     Resolved, That the sum or sums which may be received from the
government of the United States, for interest upon the money
advanced by the state of Maryland during the late war, for the
use and benefit of the United States, shall constitute a fund for
the establishment and support of common free schools, and that
the treasurer be, and he hereby is authorised and directed to
invest the money aforesaid, as received, in the stock of the Farmer's
Bank of Maryland, by subscribing for as many of the
shares in the stock of that institution, reserved to the state, as
are equivalent thereto; the dividends arising from which to be
appropriated for the purposes aforementioned, as the legislature
may hereafter determine.

A. county.
                                            No. 39.

     Resolved, That the clerk of Anne Arundel county court, be,
and he is hereby allowed a further time to complete and make
up the records in his office, until the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and twenty eight.

     Catholic
church, Annapolis.
                                            No. 40.

     Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he
is hereby directed to pay to Lewis Neth, for the use of the Roman
Catholic Church in Annapolis, or to his order, the sum of
two hundred dollars, out of any unappropriated money in the
treasury, to enable the congregation of said church to reserve
seats in the church for the accommodation of the members of
the executive, legislature and judiciary of the state.

Chancellor's
salary.
                                            No. 41.

     Resolved, That the salary of the chancellor shall be three
thousand four hundred dollars, during the continuance of the
commission of the present chancellor, and no longer, and after
the expiration of his commission, such salary shall be provided
for the succeeding chancellor as the legislature shall then think
proper to fix and establish.

Tax P. George's
county.
                                            No. 42.

     Resolved, That the time for paying into the treasury, the balance
of money due this state, by the collectors of Prince George's
county agreeably to the provisions of an act, entitled, an act
to provide a revenue for the support of the government of this
state, be, and the same is hereby extended to the first day of
June next, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

18, 1826.
Talbot county
records.
                                            No. 43.

     Resolved, That the term of two years, from and after the first
day of January last; be allowed to the register of will of Talbot
county, for completing the records of his office.
