                            LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Baltimore, of any ordinance of that corporation, or of any auctioneers'
bond, or of any other bond, document or public book
belonging to said corporation, shall be and the same are hereby
made and declared to be evidence, in the same manner as the
original would be, if produced and proved.

                                            CHAPTER 185.

An act to alter and change the name of George Stiles Dew, a minor of the
                        City of Baltimore, to John Holland Barney.

1, 1826.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of George Stiles Dew, a minor of the city of
Baltimore, be, and is hereby changed and altered unto the
name of John Holland Barney, and it shall and may be lawful
for the said George Stiles Dew, at all times hereafter to be
called and known by, and hold and use the name of John Holland
Barney, and by that name to sue and be sued in any court
of law or equity.
    Name changed.
    2.  And be it enacted, That all securities, promises, contracts,
assurances, deeds and lawful acts whatsoever hereafter to be
made and done by the name of John Holland Barney, shall be
of the same force and effect, and equally avail to all intents
and purposes, as if the name of John Holland Barney had
been the original, and proper name of the said George Stiles
Dew.
    Acts confirmed.

                                            CHAPTER 186.

An act to divorce Charles Warfield and Sarah his wife, of the City of
                                                Baltimore.

16, 1826.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
Charles Warfield and Sarah his wife, formerly Sarah Goddard
of the city of Baltimore, be, and they are hereby divorced from
bed, board and mutual cohabitation;
Divorce.
    And whereas, the said Charles Warfield and Sarah Warfield
haveing actually lived apart for nearly two years previous,
did on or about the twenty-fifth day of January,
eighteen hundred and twenty-six, enter into articles of separation,
whereby the said Charles did agree to settle a sufficient
maintenance upon the said Sarah Warfield, during her
life, and in consideration thereof, she hath agreed to relinquish
all her right and interest in his present or any future
estate he may acquire, and the said Charles Warfield having in
execution of the said articles, conveyed to John Goddard, in
trust for the said Sarah, during her natural life, a certain house
and lot on the south side of Baltimore street, in the city of Baltimore,
