first Monday of April next, and annually thereafter, or oftener
if necessary, three inspectors of flour for the city of Baltimore,
and one for the city of Frederick, who shall be governed in
their inspections by the same rules and regulations that at present
exist, and shall be entitled to the same compensation they
at present receive.

    2.  And be it enacted, That the present standard of flour,
shall be continued until it shall be altered by the act of assembly,
or until some other mode of fixing such standard shall be
provided by law.

    3.  And be it enacted, That in all cases where an inspector
may pronounce a flour barrel insufficient, or shall condemn such
barrel, it shall be lawful for the owner of such barrel, or his
agent, either to cause said barrel to be repaired, or to substitute
a new one, as the case may require, or he may make such
deduction from the price of his flour as may be mutually agreed
on between himself and the purchaser thereof.
    Defective
barrells.
    4.  And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts of assembly,
inconsistent with or contrary to the provisions of this
act, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

                                            CHAPTER 175.

            An act for the benefit of the heirs of John C. Ireland.

6, 1826.
    WHEREAS, John C. Ireland, of Calvert county, lately died,
leaving by devise his real and personal property to his wife during
her widowhood, remainder to his children, of whom one
only, a minor survives.  And whereas, it is satisfactorily represented
that the sale of the real estate of the said John C. Ireland
would be greatly to the benefit of all concerned; Therefore,
Preamble.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Margaret I. Ireland, of Calvert county, widow of the
aforesaid John C. Ireland, be, and she is hereby appointed a
trustee to sell and dispose of all the real estate of the said John
C Ireland, as the orphans court of said county may direct, with
power to convey the said real estate to the purchaser or purchasers,
their heirs and assigns, which conveyance being duly
made, shall be sufficient to convey all the right, title and interest,
of, in and unto the said real estate, which the said John C.
Ireland had at the time of his death.
    Trustee to

    2  And be it enacted, That after the debts of the said John C.
Ireland are paid, his widow shall be allowed such part of the
proceeds of the real estate as may be allowed by the orphans'
court of said county, and that the remainder be invested and
applied to the benefit of the minor child aforesaid, under the
directions of said court.
    Disposition
of proceeds.
    3.  And be it enacted, That the said Margaret I. Ireland, before
she proceeds to act as trustee, shall give bond with security
to be approved by the orphans' court, for the faithful discharge
of her duty as trustee as aforesaid.
