SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the orphans court of Prince George's county be, and they
are hereby substituted and appointed in place of the commissioners
of the school fund heretofore appointed, and the said
orphans' court are hereby vested with all the powers and authorities
which the said commissioners were vested with by the act
to which this is a supplement, and that they have full power to appoint
trustees for the distribution of the school fund in the several
election districts of said county. |

2. And be it enacted, That the treasurer
of the Western Shore
be, and he is hereby directed to pay to the order of the orphan's
court of said county, the proportion of the school fund to which
said county is entitled, or may hereafter be entitled. |

3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of the school
fund heretofore appointed by the act to which this is a supplement,
be, and they are hereby directed and required on or before
the first day of May next, to pay over to the orphan's court of
said county, the balance if any, of such school fund, as may remain
in their possession unexpended and not distributed. |

4. And be it enacted, That it shall
be the duty of the orphans
court of said county to report annually, on or before the first of
January, to the general assembly, the manner in which its proportion
of the school fund may have been disposed of. |

5. And be it enacted, That the register
of wills for Prince
George's county, shall perform all the duties necessary to carry
into effect this act, under the direction of the orphan's court,
without fee or reward, and the said court shall cause to be kept
in a bound book, a correct account of their proceedings, subject
to the inspection of the citizens of the county. |

6. And be it enacted, That any thing
in the said original act
or supplements thereunto, which is repugnant to, or inconsistent
with the provisions of this act, shall be, and the same is hereby
repealed. |

7. And be it enacted, That the trustees
to be appointed under
the authority of this act, shall report to the said orphans' court
on the first Monday in May, and the first Monday in October
next ensuing their appointment, and on the first Monday in May
and first Monday in October in each and every year thereafter,
an accurate account of the distribution of the fund committed
to their charge, and also the number of pupils educated out
of the said fund, designating the sex and age of said pupils. |
