they are hereby authorised to levy and collect an assessment
or rate, on their respective counties, for the building of said
bridge, and in such annual, final and respective proportions,
as they shall think expedient and right. |

CHAPTER 139.
An act to alter and change the location of that part of the tenth and
eleventh
election districts, in Baltimore county. |

WHEREAS, it hath been represented to this general
assembly,
that much inconvenience is experienced by sundry voters of
the tenth election district from their remoteness from the
place of holding the election in said district, and that a change
in the location of part of said district, would greatly promote
their convenience and the public good; the prayer of the petitioners
appearing reasonable and just, Therefore, |
Preamble. |
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
all that part of the tenth election district contained within the
following lines, viz: beginning at the Rockford, near Archibald
Gittings' farm, and running up and binding on the Little Falls
of Gunpowder, to Culloms' ford, near the widow Jarretts,
thence with the road to Samuel Webb's tavern, thence with the
road to the bridge at Meredeths' ford, thence down the Great
Falls of Gunpowder to Cromwell's bridge, thence with the
old Harford road, until it intersects the Baltimore and Harford
turnpike road, thence with said turnpike road to the place of
beginning, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the eleventh
election district in said county, and it shall and may be lawful
for all voters residing within the lines above described, and
hereby annexed to the eleventh district, to vote at the place of
holding the election in said district. |

CHAPTER 140.
An act to prevent the erection of Fishdams, or other obstructions across
the run at Allen's Fresh in Charles county. |

WHEREAS, the levy court of Charles county has represented
to this General Assembly, that a bridge has been built at considerable
cost and expense over Allen's Fresh Run, in said
county, and that the safety and security of the said bridge is
much endangered by persons erecting fishdams above the said
bridge, the brush and other materials of which, in freshers are |
