Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Foxvvell, it was
Ordered, That Miss Katharine McDonnell and Mrs.
Maupin be, and they are hereby, appointed stenog-
raphers and typewriters for the Senate.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Gorman, it was
Ordered, That the hour of 12 o'clock, noon, be and
the same shall, until otherwise ordered, be the hour of
meeting of the Senate.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Brewington, it was
Ordered. That the postmaster of theSenate, be and
he is hereby directed to furnish to each Senator, the
Secretary, Journal Clerk and Reading Clerk, twenty-
five dollars worth of postage stamps, and the other
elected officers of the Senate five dollars worth of pos-
tage stamps.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
On motion of Mr. Applegarth, it was
Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed by
the President to distribute to the various committees,
when appointed, the recommendations made by his
Excellency, the Governor, in his message.
Which was adopted.
The President appointed Messrs. Moore, Beasman
and Devilbiss, as members of said committee.

The committee on the part of the House appeared at
the bar of the Senate to conduct the Senators to the
Hall of the House of Delegates, for the purpose of
opening the returns of the election of the Governor of
Maryland, as had previously been agreed upon, when
the following proceedings were had:
