We have appointed on the part of the Senate Sena-
tors Perkins, Greenwell and Dixon.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House
of Delegates.
The Chief Clerk of the House of. Delegates appeared
and delivered the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 6th, 1904.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee of eight, five on the
part of the House, and three on the part of the Senate
to wait on the Governor-elect and inform him of his
election, and request his attendance on Wednesday,
January 13, al 12 m., at the State House, to qualify
according to the Constitution of the State, and to
make arrangements for the inaugural ceremonies, and
we concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House Messrs.
Benson, Collins, Hill, Morrison and Godwin.
