It appearing that no person had received i majority
of all the votes cast,
The Chairman declared that no person had been
elected by the Joint Assembly as Senator in the Con-
gress of the United States from this State forsix years
in succession to the Hon. Louis E. McComas, whose
term of office will expire March 4th, A. D., 1905.
Whereupon,
At 12.25 p. m.,
Mr. Beasman moved that this Joint Assembly do
now adjourn until Saturday, January 23rd, A. D.,
1904, at 12 m.
Whereupon,
At 12.28 p. m.,
The Senators returned to the Senate Chamber and
resumed the business of the session.
At 12.30 p. m.
On motion of Mr. Applegarth,
The Senate adjourned to meet Saturday, January
23rd, A. D. 1904, at 11.30 a. m.
