The President announced that there were 26 votes
cast, of which Mr. Robert Moss received 19 votes and
Mr. Samuel H. Tattersall 8 votes.
Mr. Robert Moss having received a majority of all
Votes cast was duly elected Secretary of the Senate.
Mr. Robert Moss then appeared at the President's
desk, qualified and entered upon the discharge of his
duty.
