It appearing by a viva voce vote of each Senator,
and member of the House present, (a majority of all
members elect of both Houses being present and vot-
ing) that upon a,

It appearing that no person had received a majority
of all the votes cast.
The Chairman declared that no person had been
elected by the Joint Assembly as Senator in the Con-
gress of the United States from this State for six years
in succession to the Hon. Louis E. McComas, whose
term of office will expire March 4th, A. D., 1905.
Whereupon,
At 12.50 p. m.,
Mr. Biddison moved that this Joint Assembly do
now adjourn until Friday, January 22nd, A. D., 1904,
at 12 m.
