Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with- the consent of your
Honorable Body, the appointment of a Joint Com-
mitttee of three on the part of the House and two on
the part of the Senate, to wait upon the Hon. Charles
H. Gibson, and notify him of his election to the
Senate of the United States by the General Assembly
of Maryland, in this year 1892.

We have appointed on the part of the House,
Messrs. Collins, Smith, of Worcester, and Brennan

him of his election as Senator in Congress from this
State, to fill the unexpired term of Hon. Ephraim K.
Wilson, deceased, and concur therein.
