Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the des-
truction of the weed or plant known as the "Canada
Thistle," on the lands in Queen Anne's county, and to

prevent the increase thereof.

Which were read the second time, and ordered to be

engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Rogers, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably, the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to carry into effect sec-
tion 1, of Article 7, of the Constitution of this State,
so far as the same relates to Howard county, and to
repeal section 39, of Article 14, of the Public Local
Laws, title "Howard County," sub-title "County
Commissioners and County Collectors," and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

House bill entitled an Act to protect trout in the
streams of Frederick county, and to repeal and re-
enact with amendments chapter 42, of the Acts of
Assembly of 1890.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Hepbron, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the deposit
of money in in hands of public officers of Kent
county in the National Banks at Chestertown.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Dawson, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Governor of the State of Maryland to appoint an
additional Justice of the Peace for the first precinct
of the fourth election district of Caroline county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Seibert, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Council

of Brunswick, of Frederick county, to issue improve-
ment bonds to an amount not exceeding the sum of
twenty thousand dollars.

Which was read the second time.
