the same to the Committee on Finance of the Senate,
and said Committee shall inspect the same, and if
satisfied that the said work has been done in con-
formity with the requirements of this order, then the-
said committee shall decide the price to be paid for
the same under the contract heretofore made by the
Public Printer with the State, not to exceed the
amount of $465. 00, and said committee shall give its
order to said Public Printer for the amount so found,
and no money shall be paid out of the Treasury of
the State for said work without such order of the
Finance Committee.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
On motion by Mr. Toadvin, it was
Ordered, That Senators Dawson and Coffin be ex-
cused from attendance at this day's session.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 20th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of
your Honorable Body, the appointment of a Joint
Committee of three on the part of the House and two
on the part of the Senate, to wait upon the Hon. Arthur
P. Gorman and notify him of his election to the United
States Senate by the General Assembly of Maryland,
in this year 1892.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Joyce, Berret and Sams.
