With the following proposed amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend the title by inserting at the end- thereof
the following :

"And to add an additional section to said Article 4,
to be numbered '743 A,' and to come in after section
743."

Amend by striking out the words "to read as fol-
lows," in line 5 of section 1, and insert in lieu thereof
the following :

And let an additional section be added to said
Article 4, to be numbered "Section 743 A," to come in
after section 743 which section shall read as follows ,

Amended by inserting after the word "for," in 14th
line of 743 A : "The Board of Police Commissioners
are hereby authorized and empowered to appoint and
employ, in addition to the number now authorized by
law, fifteen additional probationed officers, said officers
so appointed to hold their places and receive their
pay under the provisions of law now in force and ap-
plicable to probationed officers."

Amend by striking out all alter the word "from,"
in section 2, line 2, and insert in lieu thereof the fol-
lowing : "And after the thirty-first day of September,
eighteen hundred and ninety-two."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then. read, the second
time.

And, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act relating to the sale of
liquor in Baltimore city.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Moss, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to enlarge and define the
taxable limits of Frederick city and to establish cer-
tain avenues, streets and the boulevard as at present
located, to fix the grade and macadamize the same, to
provide water facilities in the northwestern addition
to Frederick.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 81,
Article 11, of the Code of Public Local' Laws, title
"Frederick County," sub title "County Commis-
sioners," and to re-enact the same with, amendments
