868 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Balti-
more and Towson Suburban Railway Company.

With the following proposed amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add additional section known as "Section 14."

Section 14. And be it it enacted that the Baltimore
and Towson Sububan Railway Company shall first
obtain the consent of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore city before work is commenced on said road,
located within the limits of Baltimore city, upon such
terms and conditions as the said Mayor and City-
Council may prescribe, and the said Railway Com-
pany shall first obtain the consent of the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county, for the vise of any of
the public roads of said county,

Make section 14 section 15.
Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Chesapeake Bank and enlarging its corporate
powers and franchises, and changing its name to the
Chesapeake Bank and Trust Company.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading, and

On motion by Mr. Gorter,

Said bill was referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Union
Credit Company of Baltimore city.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Austin, from the Committee on Temperance, re-
ported favorably, the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit granting of
license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors
in School District No. 5, of Election District No. 9, of
Worcester county.

Which was read the second time.
