Mr. Toadvin submitted the following proposed
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 166, add: "Provided that all
assessors to be appointed under this Act shall be ap-
pointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and

consent of the Senate,"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Dawson submitted the following proposed
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 164, in line 49, after the word "appointed,"
strike out "two" and insert "three."

In line 50 after the word 'large," strike out all of
lines 51, 52, 53 and 54, to the word Carroll, in line 54.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Austin submitted the f olio wing proposed amend-
ment:

AMENDMENT PPOPOSED.

Section 164, page 16, in line 70, after the word
"three" insert "eleven."

In line 72, after the word "thirteenth," insert
"fourteenth."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Seibert submitted the following proposed
amendments:

AMENDMENTS .PROPOSED.

Amend in line 134, section 164, by striking out the
word "four," after the words "divided into," and
insert in lieu thereof the word "eight."

And in line 136, section 164, after the words "com-
posed of," strike out the words "first, sixth and

eighth," and in line 136, at the beginning thereof, the

words "eleventh, nineteenth and twelfth, and insert

in lieu thereof the words "fourth, fifth and fifteenth."

In lines 137 and 138, section 164, strike out the

words "third, tenth, seventeenth, twentieth and
twenty-first," and insert in lieu thereof the words

"thirteenth and twenty-third."

In line 139 strike out the words "fourth, eighth,
thirteenth, twenty-third and fifteenth," and insert in
lieu thereof the words "third and twenty-first."
