REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hepbron, from a Setect Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to add two new sections
to Article 15, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Kent County," sub-title "County Commissioners,"
to follow immediately after section 87, and to be
designated as sections 87 A and 87 B.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of un-
finished buiness, being

Senate bill entitled an .Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 1, 2, 4, 141 and 146, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes," and to add new sections to
said Article, to be known as sections 164 to 197, both
inclusive, providing for the general valuation and
assessment of property in this State.

Which was considered.

Mr. Hayes submitted the following proposed
amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 2, line 32, after the word "country," in-
sert "or District of Columbia."

In section 2, line 34, after the word "State," insert
"Territory, or District of Columbia."

In section 2, line 35, after the word "Territory,"
insert "State, or District of Columbia."

In section 2, line 44, after the word "Territory,"
insert "District of Columbia."

Which were adopted.

Mr. Smith submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Insert after the word "certificates," section 2, line
83, the following words: "All mortgages shall be
assessed and taxed to the holders thereof, for State,
county and municipal purposes, in the county or city
where the mortgaged property is located."
