Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore city to appropriate a
sum of money for the purchase of a site and the erec-
tion thereon of a statue of the late Johns Hopkins,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays, as follows:

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 27, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and
Punishments, " by adding thereto seven additional
sections under the sub-title "Desertion, " to come in
after section 47, and to be designated as "47 A, 47 B,
47 C, 47 D, 47 E, 47 F and 47 G. "

Was read the third time, and failed for want of a
constitutional majority, by yeas and nays, as follows:
