Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Corporations.

Mr. Austin presented the memorial of 101 citizens of
Dorchester and Talbot counties, asking for a change
in the line in the Choptank river so as to prohibit the
taking of oysters with scrape or scoop above a straight
line from Hambrook's, in Dorches-ter county, to
Howell's Point, in Talbot county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Posey, it was
Ordered, That Senators Coffin, Newman, Pearre,
Rogers and Wilkinson be excused from attendance on
to-day's session of the Senate.

sub-title "Maryland National Guard. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Militia.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend and change the
Legislative District lines of the First and Second
Legislative Districts of Baltimore city, as now defined
by an ordinance by the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, No. 36, approved April 6th, 1882, and
passed in conformity with the requirements of an Act
