'636 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 9,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 121, of
the Acts of 1890, entitled "An Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Pr nee George's County to
Issue Bonds, " &c., and to re-enact the same with,
amendments.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line eleven, insert after the word "county" and
before the word "municipal, " the word ''and. "

Strike out the words "and State, " in line eleven.
In line 5, section 2, strike out ''empowered and
directed, " and insert "and empowered. "

In line 21, section 5, after the word "required" in-
sert the words "not exceeding fifty-six thousand
dollars. "

In section 5, strike out all after the words "county
paper" in line 22, and the word "levied" in line 23,
and insert; the words "that is to say, the excess of
such paper, over and above the amount of taxes levied
therefor but remaining uncollected. "

In section 5, after the words "county thereafter" in
line 29, strike out all of the remainder of section.

In section 7, line 5, next after the word "warrants, "
insert the words "relating to the affairs of said
county. "

In section 8, line 60, strike out "issued, " and insert
"as issued" for "issue. "

Next after section 9, insert as a new section, 10.

"Section 10. And be it enacted, That any misappli-
cation of the funds provided f'or by this Act by the
said County Commissioners shall render them, and
each and all of them participating in such misappli-
cation or misuse liable to indictment by the Grand
Jury, and upon conviction they shall be punished by
imprisonment in jail for not less than one nor more
than five years, and limitations shall be no bar to said
indictment. "

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
