Company, and to declare and enlarge the powers of
said corporation so that the corporate title of the said
corporation shall hereafter be "The Maryland Deposit
and Trust Company, '' and that the principal office of
said company shall be in Baltimore city, instead of at
Towson, in Baltimore county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 1, 2, 4, 141 and 146, of Ar-
ticle 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes, " and to add new sections to
said Article, to be known as sections 164 to 197, both
inclusive, providing for the general valuation and as-
sessment of property in this State.
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comp-
troller and Treasurer to adjust and settle the claims
of the State against the holders of bonds belonging
to the State, which were hyphothecated by Stevenson
Archer, late State Treasurer, for the value of said
bonds, or their proceeds, over the amounts for which
the same were hypothecated.
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the purpose of repairing, repainting, &c.,
the Executive Mansion.
Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the University
Club of Baltimore city to issue bonds for the purchase
and improvement of its club building.

Committee on Finance.
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 44, 45
and 46, of Article 33, of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, title "Mechanics' Lien, " and to re-
enact the same with amendments.
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 21, of
Article 17, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Clerks of the Courts, " and to re-enact the same.
Senate bill entitled an Act to give and grant the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the purchase of a lot of ground in the
City of Baltimore, on the east side of Scott street, by
the Trustees of the Evangelical Association in the
