4. The proviso at the end of section 13, of Articles,
of the Constitution, applies equally to an election
ordered by the warrant of the President of the Senate
as to one ordered by the warrant of the Governor.

ORDERS.

Mr. Evans presented the following:

Ordered, That the opinion of the Attorney-General,
relative to the Calvert county election, be printed on
the Journal, and that the State Printer be allowed the
sum of $20 therefor, on account of the extra and un-
usual amount of work they will be put to.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Mr. Wirt presented the following:

Ordered, That the State Printer print and bind in
paper covers, five hundred copies of the majority and
minority reports on the constitutionality of the in-
crease in the Judges salaries; provided, the cost
does not exceed the sum of $90.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

On motion by Mr. Wootton, it was

Ordered, That Senators Newman, Posey and Rogers,
be excused from attendance on to day's session of the
Senate.

Mr. Pearre submitted the following:

Ordered by the Senate, That the Committee on Elec-
tions be and it is hereby requested to file its amended
report in the contested election case of Bird vs. Tal-
bott, not later than the session of the Senate on Fri-
day, March 11th, and that the same be made the Order
of the Day for that day, at 1 o'clock P. M.

Which was read and rejected.

Ordered, That the Public Printer be and he is here-
by ordered to furnish to the Senate, not later than its
session on Thursday, March 10th, 1890, the Journal
of the Senate containing the minority report in the
contested election case of Bird vs. Talbott,
