AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend the titling by striking out all after the word
"Article, " in line 1 thereof, and insert in lieu thereof
the following:

"Twenty-seven of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Crimes and Punishments, " by adding thereto
seven additional sections under the sub-title "Deser-
tion, " to come in after section 47, and to be designated
as "47 A, 47 B, 47 C, 47 D, 47 E, 47 F and G. "

Amend section 1, by striking out all after the figure
"1, " to the word "respectively, " in line 4, inclusive,
and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 27, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments, " be and the
same are hereby amended by adding thereto seven ad-
ditional sections under the sub-title "Desertion, " to
come in after section 47, and to be designated as "47
A, 47 B, 47 C, 47 D, 47 E, 47 F and 47 G. "

Strike out "section 20, " in line 5, and insert in lieu
thereof "47 A. "

Strike out "section 21, " in line 17, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 B. "

Strike out "section 22, " in line 31, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 C. "

Strike out "section 23, " in line 35, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 D. "

Strike out "section 24, " in line 40, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 E. " '

Strike out "section 25, " in line 48, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 F. "

Strike out "section 26, " in line 52, and insert in
lieu thereof "47 G. "

and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
