Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message, proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee, to consist of five
members on the part of the House, and three on the
part of the Senate, to visit the Confederate Home at
Pikesville, Maryland, and report to the General As-
sembly the condition of the same, and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Wootton, Waters and Dawson.
