382 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 26,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section one, of Article forty-five, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Husband and
Wife. "

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out the word "or, " in the 6th line of section
1, and after the word "distribution, " in the 6th line
of said section, add the following words, "or in any
other manner. "

Amend by striking out the word "five, " in the 10th
line of section one, and insert in lieu thereof the
word "three. "

Amend section 1 by inserting after the word
"property, " in the 11th line, the words "by the wife. "

Amend by adding after the word "barred, " at the
end of the 11th line of printed bill, the following:

"And for the purpose of asserting their rights under
this section claims of creditor of the husband not yet
due and matured shall be considered as due and
matured. "

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article twenty-seven, of the Code of Public-
General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "Fraud, Conversion of Money or Securities, " to
be numbered "Section 96 A, " and to follow after sec-
tion 96.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out in the 10th line of 96 A, the
words "three years, " and inserting in lieu thereof the
words "than one year. "

And by striking out in the 11th line of 96 A, the
word "thousand, " and inserting in lieu thereof the
word "hundred, " so that it will read, "one hundred
dollars. "

Which were adopted.
