356 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 24,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 202 to
215, both inclusive, of Article 24, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "Pocomoke, " and to re enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Smith, Waters and Toadvin.

Also, returned, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to extend and enlarge
the privileges and powers of the Baltimore & Cumber-
land Railway Company, incorporated under and by
the General Laws of this State.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-section
class one, of section 14, of Article 23, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Corporations, " also,
sub-section 3, of section 42 of the same Article, also
section 47 of the same Article, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays. "

At 12. 40 P. M.

On motion by Mr. Robinson,
The Senate went into Executive Session.
At 1. 10 P. M.

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative
business.

Mr. Rogers submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

February 24th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

It is with feelings of pain that we are obliged to
inform you of the death of the Hon. J. Frank Talbott,
late Senator from Calvert county.

The sad occurrence has cast a gloom over the Senate
and in respect to the memory of the lamented deceased
we respectfully ask the concurrence of your Honorable
Body in the following arrangements for the funeral:

That the two Houses in a body to-morrow morning
escort the remains of our late colleague to the steamer
that will carry them to their final resting place, and
that a committee of eight, three on the part of the
