On motion by Mr. Smith,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Com-
missioners of Dorchester county to borrow money far
the purpose of repairing the bridge across Cambridge
creek, in the town of Cambridge in said county.

Which had been heretofore reported unfavorably
from the Committee on Finance, and report adopted.
On motion by Mr. Smith,

The vote by which said unfavorable report was
adopted, was re-considered, and said bill re-committed
to the Committee on Finance.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Elkton
Electric Light and Power Company.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 19, of
Article 9, Public General Laws, title "Attachments, "
and re-enact the same with amendments.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 1, of Article 76, of the Code of Public General
Laws, with, amendments.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Tabb
and Jenkins Hardware Company of Baltimore City.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to issue the stock of
said corporation to an amount not exceeding six mil-
lions of dollars, for building a Court House, for the
opening, widening, repairing and paving of streets,
the construction of sewers, bridges, &c., in said
city,

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the
Peace in Election District No. 12, in Frederick county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Newman, Seibert and Moss.
