House bill entitled an Act to appropriate two hun-
dred dollars, or so much as necessary, to repair and
put in good condition the State Hay and Cattle Scales;
at Havre-de-Grace.
Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
Also, returned, the following bills:
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Chevy
Chase Land Company of Montgomery county, Mary-
land, to sell or contract with the Rock Creek Railway
Company of the District of Columbia, and to define
the powers of the Rock Creek Railway Company.
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Chevy
Chase Land Company to exercise its powers in the
District of Columbia.
Senate bill entitled an Act to ratify, confirm and
approve the Act entitled an Act to authorize and en-
able the County Commissioners of Caroline county
to aid the Delaware and Chesapeake Railway in the
construction of the Branch Railroad authorized by
chapter 260, of the Acts of 1886, by issuing bonds of
the county to the amount of $60, 000 for the purpose
of raising money to be expended in such construction,
and to levy a tax on the taxable property of said
county for the payment of the interest and principal
of said bonds as authorized, chapter 390, of the Acts
of 1890.
Senate bill entitled an Act to add sections to Article
27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes
and Punishments, " sub-title "False Pretenses, " re-
lating to frauds and false pretenses against hotel
keepers,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 56. of
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Harford County, " subtitle "Collections, " and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
