they had performed that duty, and the Governor had
informed them that he had no further communication
to make.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following messages:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 13th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message inviting this House
to be present in the Senate Chamber at 12 M. to-day,
to participate in the inauguration ceremonies of the
Governor-elect, and respectfully concur therein,

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 13th, 1892,
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee of two on the part of
Senate and three on the part of the House, to wait
upon the Judges of the Court of Appeals, to invite
them to be present at the inauguration ceremonies of
the Governor-elect.

We have named on the part of the House, Messrs,
Sams, Miles and McSherry.

Which were read.

The hour of 12 o'clock, M. having arrived, the
Hon. Frank Brown, (Governor-elect, ) accompanied by
his Excellency, Governor Elihu E. Jackson, and the
respective committees, appeared in the Senate Chamber
and took the seats assigned to them.

The Honorable, the Speaker and the members of the
House of Delegates appeared.

Whereupon,

The Governor-elect arose and delivered the follow-
ing address in the presence of the General Assembly
