"Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That for making the
indexes provided for in the first section of this Act,
the Secretary of the Senate of the present session of
the General Assembly shall receive the amount, not to
exceed three hundred dollars, as provided in the gen-
eral appropriation bill for the current fiscal year, for
indexing the Senate journal and documents, upon the
certificate of the President of the Senate that such
indexes have been properly made and completed; and
at this and all ensuing sessions of the General Assem-
bly, a sum of money shall be appropriated among the
legislative expenses for the next ensuing session to
pay the Secretary of the Senate for indexing the jour-
nal, the volume of printed bills and bound documents
of the Senate, to be paid to said Secretary upon the
certificate of the President of the Senate that a proper
and complete index has been made to the books herein
specified.
"Sec. 4 And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage. "
