Baltimore, February 8th, 1892.
CHARLES H. EVANS, ESQ.,
Chairman of the Joint Committee
of the General Assembly;
MY DEAR SIR: Referring to the visit of your Com-
mittee to me on Saturday with a message from the
General Assembly that I had been re-elected to the
position of Police Commissioner for a term of six
years, from March 15th, 1893, I desire to say that I
accept the position to which I have been elected, and of
which you informed me on that occasion
My re election to so important a position, an evi-
dence of endorsement by the General Assembly of my
services up to this time, is very gratifying to me, and
is rendered doubly so by the fact that the vote by
which I was re-elected was almost unanimous.
Kindly tender my thanks to the members of the
two Houses of the Legislature for the same.
Yours, very respectfully
E, M. SCHRYVER.
Which was read.
