BY THE SENATE,

January 6th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing the
appointment of a joint committee of eight, five on the
part of the House, and three on the part of the Senate,
to wait on the Governor-elect and inform him of his
election, and request his attendance on Wednesday,
January 13th, at 12 M., at the State House, to qualify
according to the Constitution and form of government
of this State, and to make arrangements for the
inaugural ceremonies.

W e have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs,
Evans, Bennett and Wirt.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS,

By Mr. Hayes, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 3, of Article 21, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "Conveyancing. "

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the American Casualty Insurance Company, of Balti-
more city, as to the number and qualification of the
directors.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings, hereafter to be
appointed.
