for its object the transfer of the Revenue Marine Ser-
vice from the Treasury Department to the Navy De-
partment of the United States.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to grant the sanction and
consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
sale by William J. Hiss and other trustees, of a lot
of ground in Baltimore city, and the annual rent is-
suing thereout to Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Baltimore city.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hubner, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 188 to
217 inclusive of Article 3, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Baltimore County, " sub-title "Roads, "
and to enact new sections in lieu thereof.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Pearre, from the Select Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Allegany county to re-record
certain Land Records.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Seibert, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 156,
and 159, of Article 22, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled "Washington County, " sub-title "Hag
erstown, " and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof,
in amending and revising the charter of Hagerstown,
and in providing for the government thereof, and to
add new and addititonal sections to Article 22 of the
