treat Asylum, for the years 1800 and 1891.

Which were read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Evans, from the Committee on Printing, re-
ported favorably,

The report of Spencer C. Jones, Clerk of the Court
of Appeals, in reference to the Legislative printing.

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Getty, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of
chapter 95, of the Acts of 1858,

Which was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to extend and enlarge
the privileges and powers of the Baltimore and Cum-
berland Railway Company, incorporated under and
by the general laws of this State.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported favorably the following:

Ordered, That the Finance Committee of the Senate
be and is hereby authorized to audit and settle the
expenses incurred in procuring the necessary furni-
ture and supplies for the use of said committee, and
also the expense incurred in coloring the walls and
ceilings of the rooms of said committee, which said
work was done to remove the discolorations and stains
from dampness on said walls and ceilings.

And be it further ordered, That the Chairman of the
Committee on Claims issue his certificate to pay the
aforesaid claims, upon the certificate of the Finance
Committee or its Chairman.

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Talbott, from the Committee on Federal Rela-
tions, reported favorably,

House Joint Resolution requesting and directing
the Senators and Representatives of the State of
Maryland in the Congress of the United States, to use
