ing, Inspector of Mines for the counties of Allegany
and Garrett.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Inspections,

Mr. Wirt presented the memorial of Samuel I.
Ruder and 16 other citizens of Cecil county, praying
for an Act limiting pound-nets in the Northeast river,
in Cecil county.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Wirt,
Smith and Toadvin.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Brown, it was
Ordered, That the State Librarian be instructed to
furnish the Senate one copy each (for each to the
Standing Committees of the Senate) of a key of the
Code and the Acts of 1890, compiled by James W.
Owens, at a cost of one dollar each.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

On motion by Mr. Newman, it was
Ordered, That Senators Bennett, Smith, Wilkinson
and Wootton be excused from to-day's session of the
Senate.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Hubner, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 188 to
217, inclusive of Article 3, of the Code of Public Local,
Laws, title "Baltimore County, " sub-title "Roads, "
and to enact new sections in lieu thereof.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Hubner, Rogers and Robinson

Senate bill entitled Act to grant the sanction and
consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
sale by William J. Hiss, and other trustees, of a lot of
ground in Baltimore city, and the annual rent issuing
thereout to Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church
of Baltimore city.
