more city,

Which was read the second time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to sanction a lease from
Benjamin C. Howard to the Vestry of St. Stephen's
Church, Baltimore.

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hubner, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the appoint-
ment of Notaries Public in Baltimore county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Robinson, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 56, of
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Harford County, " sub-title "Collectors, " and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENT IS PROPOSED

Strike oat all after the words "a bill'' and insert in
lieu thereof the following:

' Entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 13,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford
County, " sub title "Collectors, " to follow section 56,
and to be numbered 56 A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new section be added to Article
13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford
County, " sub-title "Collectors, " to follow section 56,
to be numbered 56 A, and to read as follows:

"SEC. 56 A. That the County Commissioners of
Harford county shall accept as security on the bond
of any collector of taxes any trust company in the
State of Maryland that is authorized by law to be-
come security on the bond of public officials, provided
