Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Robinson,

Senate Mil entitled an Act to exempt from taxation
certain property of the Bel Air Water and Light
Company of Harford county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Robinson, Bennett and Newman.

By Mr. Wirt,

Senate bill entitled an Act appropriating a sum of
money to the Maryland Society of the Sons of the
American Revolution, for the erection of a monument
in Baltimore city.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
the Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Gorter,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit any corpor-
ation, which under the laws of this State shall act as
trustee, executor, administrator, &c., as fully as a
natural person, without bond or security other than
its own obligation, from incurring the liability of a
security upon any bond.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr, Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported unfavorably,

Ordered That 500 copies of the Inaugural Address
of the Governor be printed for the use of the Senators.

Which was adopted.

And favorably, the following:

Ordered, That the Postmaster of the Senate be
allowed a sufficient number of stamps, to enable him
to mail the Daily Journal to the newspapers of the
State.

Which was adopted.

Also favorably the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money therein mentioned to pay the claim of Henry
J. Hebb, late treasurer of Baltimore county, and
