The Hon. Edward W. LeCompte, Secretary of State,
appeared and delivered a communication from the

Executive.

At 8. 30 P. M.,

On motion by Mr. Gorter,
The Senate adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, January 27th, 1892.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Andrew.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Austin, Bennett, Brown, Coffin,
Evans, Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Hubner, Moss,
Newman, Pearre, Robinson, Rogers, Seibert, Smith,
Talbott, Toadvin, Wilkinson, Waters, Wirt, Wootton
—24.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

The President presented the report of the President
of the Baltimore and Havre de Grace Turnpike Com-
pany for the years 1890 and 1891.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Also,

The report of the President of the Baltimore and
Harford Turnpike Company for the years 1890 and
1891.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Also,

The annual report ©f the Board of Managers of the
Maryland Hospital for the Insane.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

The President announced a vacancy on the Com-
mittee on Corporations, by the resignation of Mr.
