The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
George T. Melvin to construct a bridge over Weems'
creek, in Anne Arundel county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs.
Moss, Newman and Waters.

Also delivered the following message:

BT THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 26th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee of
five, three on the part of the House of Delegates and
two on the part of the Senate, to meet and confer with
the delegation of County Commissioners from the
different counties of the State, on Thursday, January
28th, 1892.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Deen, Grove, of Frederick, and Collins.
