Article 78 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland; and that said bond and contract of said
Charles H. Banghman are filed and of record in the
office of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Mary-
land, copies of which are hereunto appended. The
bids for the printing are hereunto annexed.

Know all men by these presents, that we, Charles
H. Baughman. J. Wm. Baughman and L. Victor
Baughman, all of Frederick city, in the State of
Maryland, are held and firmly bound unto the State
of Maryland, in the full and just sum of thirty thou-
sand dollars, current money of the United States, to
be paid to the said State, or its certain attorney, to
which payment well and truly to be made and done,
we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our
heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and sever-
ally, firmly by these presents; sealed with our seals
and dated this 22d day of September, in the year
eighteen hundred and ninety-one.
Whereas, the above bounden Charles H. Baughman
is about to transmit to the Clerk of the Court of Ap-
peals of Maryland, his bid for the printing required
to be done for the General Assembly of Maryland at
its next ensuing session, in pursuance of the provisions
of Article 78 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland; and whereas, the said Charles H. Baugh-
man, in transmitting his said bid to said Clerk, is
required by section 1 of said Article 78 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, to accompany
the same with a good and sufficient bond to the State
of Maryland, in the penal sum of thirty thousand
dollars, conditioned for the due, prompt and faithful
compliance on his part with the contract required by
the provisions of said Article 78 of said Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, to be entered into with said
Clerk, in the event that he, the said Charles H. Baugh-
man, shall be awarded said contract by said Clerk;
and whereas, these presents are also intended to indem-
nify the State of Maryland against any loss, which
may be sustained by it, in consequence of the said
