arrangement, which it was in when General George
Washington surrendered his commission as Comman-
der-in-Chief of the Continental Armies to the National
Congress then in session in said chamber; and they
recommend that the Senate of Maryland of 1894 make
the proper steps to restore the same.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum
of $100 to pay the claim of John C. Boessel.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 4th, 1892,
Gentlemen of Hie Senate :

We have received your message requesting the re-
turn to your Honorable Body of House Bill No. 325,
relating to roads and bridges in Charles county, and
herewith return said bill.

On motion by Mr. Posey,

The vote by which said bill passed was reconsidered,
when

Mr. Posey submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the last section of the bill.

Which was adopted.
