And, favorably,

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay Robert
W. Tate £50, being ten days per diem for services
rendered the Senate session for 1892, as hall-keeper.
Which was adopted.
And, unfavorably,

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on
Claims issue his warrant to John Smith, carpenter of
the Senate, for 82.00 additional per diem from the be-
ginning of the session, equalizing the per diem with
that of the other officers of the Senate.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings, reported unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 28, Article
17, Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Clerks of
Courts," and re-enact same with amendments.
Which was adopted.
And, unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the pay-
ment by the State for certain debts contracted by the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company during 1887,
1888, 1889 and 1890, for labor and raw material, and
for the assignment of the same to the State.
Which was considered.

Mr. Pearre moved to substitute the bill for the un-
favorable report,
Which was determined in the negative by yeas and
nays, as follows:
