receive severally for their services in enrolling and
signing bills in the recess of the General Assembly,
the same compensation ns was allowed for the same
services at the last session of the General Assembly ;
and that the Chairman of the Committee designate the
clerks to be employed, and that such clerks shall re-
ceive the same pay as allowed hereby to members of
the committee.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

On motion by Mr. Hayes, it was

Ordered by the Senate, That House Bills Nos. 58,
50 and 245, in the order named, be and they are hereby
made the special order for Monday, April 4th, 1892,
at 12.30 P. M.

Mr. Wootton presented the following message:

BY THE SENATE.

April 2d, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

As the present session of the General Assembly
will terminate by Constitutional limitation on Monday
April 4th, midnight, we propose that a Joint Com-
mittee, to be composed of two members of the Senate
and three of the House of Delegates, be appointed to
wait upon the Governor for the purpose of communi-
cating this fact, and ascertaining whether he has any
further communication to make.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate
Messrs. Wootton and Wirt.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House
of Delegates.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably, the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act for the assessment and
