ORDERS.

Mr. Waters presented the following :

Ordered by the Senate, That the Commanders of
the steamers of the State Fishery Force place at the
disposal of the Joint Committee of the General As
sembly to visit Virginia during the recess of the Leg-
islature, one of the steamers of said Force.

And be it further ordered, That the Sergeant-at-
Arms of this Senate accompany said Committee on its
visit to Virginia, and that his compensation for said.
services shall not exceed the per diem of three dollars
per day during the time of his attendance on said
Committee.

Which was adopted.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings, reported favorably, the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 27, Code
of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," by adding a new sub-title to be known as
"Bawdy Houses, &c."

House bill entitled an Act to repay to Charles
Simon, Jr., and Adolph Simon, executors of the last
will and testament of Johanna W. Simon, late of Bal-
timore city, deceased, taxes paid by Mrs. Johanna
W. Simon in her lifetime in error.

House bill entitled an Act to protect persons keep-
ing boarders and lodgers in their houses and for other
purposes.

House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the City Savings Bank of Baltimore city, formerly the
Peabody Savings Institution of Baltimore city.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 136, of
Article .37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments."

House bill entitled an Act to add a section to Arti-
cle 21, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Con-
veyancing," to be "numbered 88."

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
section 68, of Article 27, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct."

Which were severally read the second time.
