Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 247, of Article 23, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Testamentary Law," sub-title "Or-
phans' Court."

Which was considered, and
On motion by Mr. Pearre,

Said bill was re committed to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported favorably the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the State
Treasurer to repair.the Treasury building.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct
the County Commissioners of Montgomery county to
levy a sum of money to refund to Samuel Riggs, of R,
of said county, taxes paid in error.

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay to the Treasurer of the State Board of
Education the amount of sundry bills paid by him for
repairs to the State Normal School building.

House bill entitled an Act to refund to Hutchins
Crawford, of Calvert county, a sum of money paid by
him to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert
county, and by said Clerk paid into the Treasury-of
the State for a commission as sheriff, which commis-
sion was annulled by the Circuit Court of Calvert
county aforesaid.

Which were severally read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay George M. Pearce and Albert J. Merrill
for services rendered as sergeant-at-arms and door-
keeper respectively.

With the following proposed amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In lines 2 and 10, strike out the name "Albert J.
Merrill," and substitute in lieu thereof, the name of
"George Truitt."

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

Which was adopted.

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay W. B. Usilton and others for publish-
ing the Governor's Proclamation of Constitutional
Amendments,
