ORDERS.
Mr. Waters presented the following:
Ordered by the Senate, That for the purpose of en-
abling the Joint Committee appointed by the Senate
and House of Delegates of Maryland to meet a similar
committee appointed by the Legislature of Virginia, to
confer and report such concurrent legislation concern-
ing the taking of oysters, crabs and fish in the waters
of the Potomac and Pocomoke, as shall tend to pro-
mote friendly relations between the two States and the
mutual advantages of their respective citizens, and for
other purposes, to meet the Virginia Committee and
fully execute the powers conferred by the Joint Reso-
lution by which said appointment was made, the
Commander of the State Fishery Force is hereby re-
quired to put at the command of the said Joint Com-
mittee, at such times as said Committee shall direct,
one of the steamers of the State Fishery Force, for the
purpose of giving said Committee the opportunity of
going over and personally inspecting the localities in-
volved, and taking said Committee to such point as
may be agreed upon with the Virginia Committee, for
the consideration of the several questions to be con-
sidered and reported on. That the Sergeant-at-Arms
of the Senate accompany said Committee in his official
capacity, and that the Comptroller be and he is here-
by authorized to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer
of Maryland, subject to the order of the Chairman of
said Joint Committee, for the sum of five hundred dol-
lars, to defray the expenses of said Joint Committee
whilst in the discharge of the duties imposed by said
Joint Resolution, and the said Committee shall report
