1076 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 211, of Article 23, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Corporations," sub-title "Religious
Corporations."

Which was read the first time, and referred to ther
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 1, of Article 45, of the Code-
of Public General Laws, title "Husband and Wife."
Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Talbot county to issue bones to the
amount of $20,000 at a rate of interest not exceeding
five per cent, per annum, for the purpose of raising a
fund to pay the said county's subscription of $25,000
to the capital stock of the Baltimore] and Eastern
Shore Railroad Company.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 2, line 8, strike out all after the word
"writing." and all of line 9.
