1068 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the County Commissioners of Charles county
to levy a sum of money to pay H. Claget Page for
indexing the land records of said county,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After the word "county," in line 2 of title, add
the words "in their discretion."

In line 3, of section 1, after the word "county,"
add the words "in their discretion."

Strik out all in same section after the word "county,"
in line seven.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 49, of
Article 9, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Charles County," sub-title "County Commissioners
and Treasurer,"

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Robinson, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Harford county to grant a pension
to Charles C, Smith.

Which was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Harford County," sub-title "Havre de Grace," re-
lating to excavating, &c.,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Insert after the word "Act," in the second line of
section 169 A, the following words: "Without the
consent of the Mayor and City Council of Havre de
Grace."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
Mr. Lloyd, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably, the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Easton, Trappe and Cambridge Railroad Company.
