House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to acquire a majority
of the capital stock of the Baltimore and Eastern.
Shore Railroad Company.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators.

And, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Boonsboro' Turnpike Company.

Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably from a Select
Committee, and report adopted."

At 10.45 P. M.,

On motion by Mr. Gorter,

The Senate adjourned.

TUESDAY, March 29th, 1892.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Clark.

BUSINESS AND MERCANTILE ASSOCIATIONS
Of Baltimore City.

BALTIMORE, March 28th, 1892.
Hon. Edward Lloyd,

President of the Senate of Maryland:
DEAR SIR—At a meeting of this organization held
this evening the following resolutions were adopted:
Resolved, That the Central Organization of Busi-
ness and Mercantile Associations of Baltimore city
does hereby ratify and endorse the resolutions
adoptd by the Corn and Flour Exchange favoring a
reduction of the telephone charges now made by the
Telephone Company of this city.
