|
AN ACT to repeal section fifty-seven of the Code of
|
|
|
|
|
Public Local Laws for Prince George's county,
|
|
|
|
|
as enacted by the act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
|
seventy-six, chapter one hundred and five, entitled
|
|
|
|
|
" An act to repeal section forty-four of the Code
|
|
|
|
|
of Public Local Laws," entitled " Prince George's
|
|
|
|
|
County," under the title of " Collectors," enacted
|
|
|
|
|
by the act of eighteen hundred and seventy-two,
|
|
|
|
|
chapter two hundred and ninety-four, and to re-
|
|
|
|
|
enact the same with amendments, and to add
|
|
|
|
|
additional sections thereto, and to re-enact said
|
|
|
|
|
section fifty-seven with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That section fifty-seven of the Code
|
|
|
|
|
of Public Local Laws for Prince George's county, as
|
|
|
|
|
enacted by the said act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
|
seventy-six, chapter one hundred and five, entitled
|
|
|
|
|
" An act to repeal section forty-four of the Code of
|
Repealed and
|
|
|
|
Public Local Laws," entitled "Prince George's
|
re-enacted.
|
|
|
|
County," under the title "Collectors," enacted by
|
|
|
|
|
the act of eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chap-
|
|
|
|
|
ter two hundred and ninety-four, and to re-enact the
|
|
|
|
|
same with amendments, and to add additional sec-
|
|
|
|
|
tions thereto, be and the same is hereby repealed
|
|
|
|
|
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
57. The Treasurer of Prince George's county shall
be entitled to a clerk, to be appointed by himself,
|

and the pay of said clerk shall be five hundred dol-

lars per annum ; and the county commissioners shall

|
|
|
levy an amount at their annual levy laying-term
|
|
|
|
|
sufficient to pay the salary of said clerk; and the
|
|
|
|
|
said Treasurer shall have the right, within twelve
|
|
|
|
|
months after the expiration of the term of his office,
|
|
|
|
|
to return to the county commissioners of said county
|
|
|
|
|
a list of all taxes uncollected by him, together with
|

all expenses attending same, and if, upon exami-
|
uncollected.
|
|
|
|
nation by the said commissioners, are found correct,
|
|
|
|
|
and that the said Treasurer has complied with the
|
|
|
